The chairs arrived in great shape. The backrest assembly instructions were not clear and based on the instructions, the backrest was wobbly. There chairs were very easy to put together; just had to add the legs. They are closer to vanilla/white than beige. The corded fabric is more the texture of velvet. Because they are being used for a slightly higher table we needed them to be taller than the standard 18 inches. They are perfect. The pillow like seating is very comfortable. I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table. These chairs looked similar to one’s in a furniture store for much less money and I’ve had good luck with Wayfair pieces before, so I ordered set of 2 to try. They were easy to put together, I was able to do pretty quickly myself except, the screws (10) 4 to attach seat, 6 to finish legs. There are not any pre-drilled holes for these screws. which made me nervous like other reviewers had stated, and I was afraid of the wood splitting. Therefore, to be safe I did have my husband use his impact drill to do the screws. They came out great, they’re very comfortable. Good quality went ahead and ordered four more. Only issue was some of the legs on bottom (see photos)were not finished with black and just unfinished wood. Don’t really see so not deal breaker for me, especially for great price. Also will need to get some type of floor protectors to add to legs. Overall, extremely happy with the quality and amazing price of these chairs. Would recommend and buy again. Shelley. NY.
