I have been looking for a dining room light that felt right for my craftsman home for some time, without being the typical craftsman design. This light ticked all the boxes. It’s simplistic, rustic and has that hand crafted look. I feel the price is very good and the quality of construction is excellent. I’m so happy with this purchase. It was tricky to install, and I have to admit that I almost called an electrician because of the size of it. Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright.
