Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. WARNING: This cross-bar may need to be adjusted for full operation (best before you put the rest of the table together). I had to disconnect the top from the base 3 times to get it right. Default from the factory and the table may not close unless one holds down the side-skirting on the leaf. That sucks. Too far one direction and the table closes, but the leaf will not pivot out. Too far the other direction and the leaf pivots freely, but the table will not close without holding down the side-skirting on the leaf in it's folded position. There's a "sweet spot" such that both operations will work seamlessly. I had to relocate mine about 1/4" inch. It's best if you have a cordless drill and a partner to help. This box was delivered in ridiculous condition. I attribute it to being a very heavy box (120+lb) with lightweight styrofoam packing and lightweight cardboard thickness. The single FedEx delivery guy had to “roll” the item end over end to get it from the truck to our house. As he was rolling, we could hear the wooden parts inside knocking around heavily and loosely (presumably the legs and center divider for the table). The box corners were completely beaten and open. Assembly hardware and pieces of splintered wood were tumbling out of the corners and the corner of the table top could be plainly seen … damaged!! Certainly, there was no way the table inside was in acceptable condition. I dint know if damage was a result of original vendor or carrier. Without even opening it, I messaged with Wayfair about a return and refund. At this point, I must give kudos to Wayfair customer service. They completely arranged for a FedEx pickup and refund without me even opening the box. So… 1/10 for product quality, 10/10 for post purchase customer service.. Anonymous. Thu Jan 15 2026
