The craftsmanship is excellent—the drawers glide smoothly and the panels fit together perfectly. One of my favorite features is the pull-out nightstand slides. They are incredibly convenient and keep the room looking tidy since they aren't in the way when not in use. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. The bed was easy to build and is solidly made. It's a good semi-rustic fit and is not overlarge. In some places, you can see the slats beneath the mattress as the frame is just a tad larger than the mattress itself. The wood is of good quality. Our two actual caveats with the piece are: (1) The headboard is a little flimsy — it attaches via four screws to the base of the bedframe. If you lean against the headboard, you can feel it quiver (a light bounce). The wall behind our bed has a slight molding at the bottom — so while the headboard is physically touching the bottom of the wall, most of it isn't in direct contact with the wall. When one or both of us leans against the headboard, we (again) can feel it quiver. It doesn't make us feel like we want to put too much weight on it because we're worried it might snap. (2) We were sent a drawer with two left-hand attachments, meaning we had to remove one for it to fit in the allotted space. This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. It's not great quality, and it's a bit sketchy the way the slats lay on the center thing, but it works for our 9 year old son! Good bed for the price. Looks like pics on site. We needed to upgrade my 17 year old son from a twin to a full size bed and wanted something that coordinated with his other good quality furniture without spending a lot for the bed. Some pieces (including the headboard) are quite thin. One piece arrived splintered (assume occurred) in transit but we could glue and the way the screws fixed to bed, it wasn’t a structural issue.
