Beautiful terracotta base. A substantial lamp that is full of earthy character. The shade didn't work for me though. Felt too big, and because I have the lamp sitting on a side table in our sunken living room, you could see too much of the inside and the bulb. I realized I needed an empire shade instead of a drum, so I had to spend the extra money to purchase a different shade. But I'm happy with the purchase overall. Note that you can see a "seam" (one on each side) where the potter put the two pieces together I assume. I like it and think it adds to the character, but others may not.. Andrea. The lamp arrived fully assembled. It’s also lightweight and easy to place on a nightstand or side table without much effort. The light diffuses through the layered panels nicely and creates a soft glow effect. That said, the materials feels lighter than I expected at this price point. The brass tone is very bright and polished, which gives it more of a bold decorative look rather than a softer brushed or antique brass finish, which I tend to prefer. Depending on your decor style, that may or may not be what you’re looking for. The included bulb is labeled 3000K, but the one that came with mine appeared cooler in tone than expected. I ended up swapping it for a warmer bulb (2850K), and that made the light much cozier. Overall, this is a visually interesting lamp with a unique design that works well as a decorative accent.
