The description for this product is dishonest and inaccurate. The product description says it's a "Smart fan". This was an explicit requirement I had for purchasing this fan. After having the fan installed buy an electrician and downloading the app I am prompted to pay $4.99 weekly or $29.99 yearly to control the phone using the app. None of this is disclosed in the product description. There is a button in the app to "continue to limited version" which is supposedly free but there is no free version. It simply sends you in an endless loop where you are prompted to pay them to use the app. The manufacturer and product listing are dishonest and you're asking for trouble purchasing this fan. If you lose the remote or the remote brakes, you lose all ability to control the light or the fan. That was the entire purpose of purchasing a smart enabled fan so that if something happened to the remote it doesn't brick the device. This is outright fraud. Do not trust this listing.. Christian. I bought it for my bedroom. It’s bigger than I thought. Yes, I know the measurements were included but it only looks big when laying under it. From my doorway it seems like a normal size. On high, it’s amazing, it does have a slight swing and “tick” when on high but it’s minimal. Super quiet. Can’t believe I waited so long to replace my old one. I like that the smaller drum can easily be unscrewed to clean it from dust. I bought the shortest rod length because I wanted it close to the ceiling. Came with light bulbs as well which I thought I read they weren’t included. Have the option for remote or wall switch. I added the remote but might remove as my wall switch won’t work with remote. An awesome ceiling fan, with lots of different settings and options for both the light and fan functions. I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top.
