Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Do not cut off zip ties before installation! I needed a gate tall enough to stop my jumping pets without damaging my walls or making daily life harder. This 61" extra tall pet gate finally solved it. My cats can’t leap over it, and the 1.37" narrow spacing keeps even kittens from squeezing through. I installed it in under using the pressure bolts—no tools or drilling needed. When my hands are full of groceries or laundry, I can still open the gate easily with one hand. The auto-close feature gives me peace of mind, while the 90° stay-open mode makes moving through the house effortless. Strong, secure, and renter-friendly, it keeps my pets safe around stairs, kitchens, and off-limit rooms every day.

Luckily this works for us. But a word of caution for those who have crown molding, I didnt measure from there and we probably should of gotten something thats shorter in width. It comes with an 8 bar (about ~16.5), 3 bar (about ~6.5) and 2 bar (little less than~3.5) extensions so something to keep in mind if you have a spaces in between those measurements. Luckily we can just prop it up on the walls with the 8 bar, we were able to get it to fit snug with a piece of cardboard. So still works for us! Avoid putting screw holes into your fine woodwork by installing your gate using our clamps. Measuring 8″ in width, these solid wood clamps are expertly designed to fit snugly around very small spindles, effectively sandwiching two spindles together. They fit spindles measuring up to 6.5″ in width. Note: You will need two clamps for each side of the gate for optimal support.

A baby gate is just something you have to have. They work or they don’t work. This baby gate is not only aesthetically appealing but it also eliminates the bar at the bottom that everyone trips on and you have to clean around. It really makes the space look much cleaner and as a plus we installed ours just high enough that robot vac glides right under it. The only downside is the amount of space that it takes up when the gate is being left open which for us is 43” We have doors on both sides of the gates so if the gate is left open in either direction you slam into it with the door.
