This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with how this new (to us) Kichler Farum 9.5" 1-Light Wall Sconce with Clear Glass in Chrome looks in our kitchen pantry. It brightens it up so much compared to our previous light fixture and it looks so classy while it's doing it. The clear glass shade of the sconce really lets the light shine through in what was previously a pretty dark little room. The chrome is beautiful and shiny and rich looking and it's a perfect size for the area we have it in. My husband said that the installation was fairly easy and that the instructions included with it were clear and easy to comprehend.
