This rug is definitely green and ivory, like the photos and it is BEAUTIFUL! You are buying a WOOL tufted rug, so it is not soft to the touch and not soft on your feet. It is stiff and sturdy and I expect it to last welllll after I’m gone, with proper care. I would not use this in a high traffic area and avoid getting it wet. There was a strong musty smell for a few days after I unrolled it but I didn’t notice and moisture or mold snd there were silica packets rolled into it, so it may just be that it’s wool and smelled like a wool rug. The rug is beautiful, and I love that it is wool. However, the rug had a very strong smell upon delivery, which I can only describe as "wet dog." I read online how to fix this, as I really wanted to keep this rug. I bought baking soda, as suggested, and sprinkled it liberally on to the rug. Three small baking soda containers didn't touch the smell. It took about 8 and a lot of vacuuming and working with it to get rid of 85% of the odor. The rest faded in time on it's own. The other wool rug that we got at the same time from a different maker had no odor at all. Perhaps one had "washed" wool, and the other was treated differently. Now that it has no smell, we really like it and are glad we kept it, but it should have been ready to use upon delivery. It is a quality rug, and the design is beautiful. It is well made.. Barbara.
