I love these lamps. I am not a "modern" furniture lover, but these go great in my transitional house. I wanted bedside lamps that were high enought to give off enough light to read by as I read every night. There is a shorter version but I tried out another lamp I had the same size and found it was not tall enough to read by. Beautiful lamp! It was well packaged, easy to assemble, and very sturdy. The light it casts is soft, not bright.
