Pillow protector appears to be very well made. UPDATE: Washed for 1st time and found stitching on one case completely undone leaving a 3 inch hole that needs to be repaired. Seems completely airtight moisture resistant. Instructions stated to be sure pillow and protector are completely dry before zipper closed. This will prevent possibility of mold growth. Haven’t washed yet but it appears sturdy enough to resist the hot water washing that is recommended. This set of two queen-size pillows came rolled and vaccuum-packed, then sealed in plastic, then placed in a mailing envelope. As such, there’s a fish-like smell to the pillows. Make sure to follow the instructions of airing them out or better yet, drying them in the dryer (if you have a big-enough dryer). The “drying” can also fluff them up some more. I purchased these pillow protectors because the price was reasonable and they came in a four pack. They are waterproof, they have zippers and can easily be removed from pillows for washing.
