I'll preface this by saying "I fully expect these to be trashed within a few years, as I have a busy kitchen and a three year old". While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets. We love these bar stools! They’re incredibly comfortable, with wide, soft seats that are great for both of us (I’m 5’2” and my boyfriend is 6’2”). The wood grain on the back gives them a high-end look, and the caramel color is exactly what we wanted. Assembly was easy overall. The only issue was that the instructions showed the bottom support ring attaching in the second set of holes, but there wasn’t enough clearance, so we installed it in the top set instead.
