My children are not particularly gentle with furniture, and these chairs have been tipped over more than a few times. As a result, the backrests have loosened and slightly broken in a couple of spots over the years. Thankfully, we’ve been able to tighten everything back up with an Allen wrench, and they’ve remained perfectly usable. The black legs have also accumulated a few chips and scuffs from daily family life, kids running into them, toys, and general wear and tear. However, after six years of heavy use, I still think they look fantastic. One thing to note is that the seats are wood and have decorative grooves where crumbs and food can collect. It’s not a major issue, but you may occasionally need to wipe them out or vacuum the grooves to keep them clean. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these barstools. They are stylish, durable, and have held up remarkably well in a busy household. I receive compliments on them all the time, and people are always surprised when I tell them they’re from Wayfair. These are really beautiful stools, super comfortable with great back support. They are a tad taller than other counter stools I've had, I think due to the thick seat padding. The plum color is deep and rich, the photo with all 3 stools is an accurate color representation. The close up doesn't show the color correctly, but it's to show the texture of the fabric. It has different tones of purple, almost like a denim fabric, I think it will be very durable.
