The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price. Has a nice sleek look that is modern and blends in well with my bedroom. Personally, the aesthetics look way better in my opinion than a mini split unit plopped on the wall. And this is a much more affordable solution that doesn’t need professional installation. No jump in my electric bill either. I don’t have central air and no plans to get it. This works just fine. Great product so far. And aesthetically, the most minimal and elegant dehumidifier I could find. Took about 24 hours to dehumidify our piano room and get it to the humidity level I set it to (from 55% to 45%). It's not the most quiet appliance, but it is very effective and isn't in our main living space, so it's perfect for us. So far the manual setting works pretty well. I set it to 45% and it automatically turns on and off to keep the humidity level around there. I have a hygrometer near the piano that tracks humidity level and it's staying very steady since getting this dehumidifier. I'm also I glad I got the one with wi-fi connection. You can control everything through the app– turn the dehumidifier on/off; change the modes between Auto, "Dry" (the manual mode), Quiet, Fan, and Continuous; and fan speed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The device works well as a dehumidifier, it's pulling what I need out of the air, we have not hooked it up to the washer drain just yet to test the auto emptying pump but plan to in the future. The disappointing aspect of this unit is it's supposed to be able to connect to WiFi and have app access for control and updates. I had it connected for the first 5 days but the app was saying my filter was dirty (it's not, the device was not lit up that it was dirty) and there was no way to reset that on the app and the manual reset for it on the device didn't work as the device wasn't showing it as dirty. The app was also not sending me notifications for when the bucket was full, though if I opened the app it would update to show full. This wasn't a big deal, I can check it but just kind of defeats the purpose. After 5 days the WiFi light kept beeping annoyingly and the app says "something is wrong". I have tried all the tips and tricks to reset it and readd to app but I'm having the same issue. I'm pretty tech savvy and I did have it working for 5 days before it just decided to not work. My house is not very large and signal is good in the area I have it, I have not managed to get it work yet but I didn't buy this unit for the WiFi option it was just a plus BUT if you sell something it should work as intended.. It has a lot of room and being able to move the racks to adjust for what I want to put in it is great. The top part of the fridge can be used for storage or other appliances. The only small complaint is that you can see the fingerprints easily on the top part but it’s easily cleaned and not a deal breaker.
