All of our cedar log furniture is crafted using northern white cedar. We harvest our cedar locally from its Minnesota location. We even operate our cedar sawmill that produces lumber for our furniture! Northern white cedar is extremely light and quite soft but boasts excellent decay resistance and strength despite these characteristics. For heavily used surfaces, we also offer an optional liquid glass finish to increase its lifespan. Liquid glass finish provides a high gloss sheen, this upgrade finish is made from a two-part epoxy. Equivalent to 50 coats of polyurethane, the finish is tough, yet flexible and not prone to shattering from impact.

This is a really beautiful and sturdy dining set! I love the light maple wood top and seats (it is a little more yellow than it is white maple). And the cream legs and chair backs is the perfect match for the table! It fits perfectly with my farmhouse decor. It was somewhat easy to put together, however there are a few pre drilled holes that are hard to get the bolts into, and the chair seats do not have any pre-drilled holes for the screws, so make sure you have an electric screwdriver!. Hickory Twig Log Dining Table with Barnwood Top makes a beautiful statement piece that will last a lifetime. The table top is made from reclaimed barnwood and features the original circular saw marks from late 1800's saws embedded in the tops which reveals timeless character.

I like this end table it is very sturdy and has a beautiful rustic appearance. It did have a couple of hiccups, though. Although the box was very sturdy and undamaged, one of the table’s top corners was separated a little, adjacent to a ‘character’ crack near it. Rather than ship it back we chose to repair it at home. The table is a lot darker than viewed online. And it looks lighter in my pics than in person, where it is mostly a very dark brown (unless the sun is shining on it). No doubt, each table’s color will naturally vary somewhat. The drawer seems well-built, but it takes an effort to tug it open. In the end, although this unit should have had a better inspection at the factory, it is still a good product. I docked it one star for the corner and the drawer difficulty it could have been a 5..
