Pros: Very easy to assemble. Well packaged for shipment. Looks amazing from afar. Cons: Wood is supper soft. Scratches and dents during production, rough edges and inconsistent stain on edges. This table and chair set is AWESOME!!! I got it in the Brown color. I cannot say enough great things about this set. The chairs are super comfortable, even after sitting for a couple hours. The table is super heavy, (the 18 inch leaf is attached to the underside of the table top) so if possible, try to have some help to lift it. Took my husband about 2.5 hours (working alone and with no breaks), to put everything together (4 chairs, table, bench). Good idea to put the table together in the actual room that it will be staying, because once the bottom shelves and legs are on, it becomes a tough shape to get through a doorway, or hall, etc. And also the exceptional weight can make it a bit tough to move. The table slides open and separates effortlessly for the leaf, and it's super easy to get the "butterfly" leaf up and out from under the top. It fits flawlessly and looks terrific. When table is closed without the leaf, there are hooks underneath to keep the two sections locked together and closed tightly. The pictures show that all of the chairs are pulled in to the table as close as they can be. So the side shots let you know how far the chairs stick out. The counter height is perfect and this set feels so high end. The chairs have nice wide seats for extra comfort, along with firm but comfy pads. Next is a rug to fit underneath the set. Plus have a new chandelier in the wings waiting for installation. I will update pics when it's all done. If you're on the fence about this table, don't be. It's super quality and is just beautiful!!!
