The ottoman is quite heavy and seems sturdy. I like that it has a table side to the lid; and I like the extra storage it has inside, also. Additionally, I was happily surprised to see there are locking swivel feet!! Unfortunately I will have to reupholster because the ottoman is a true sage green, slightly lighter even, and does not match our chartreuse green couch.
