I'll preface this by saying "I fully expect these to be trashed within a few years, as I have a busy kitchen and a three year old". That being said, the faux leather has held up well to all sorts of spills, stains, bumps, etc. They don't feel very sturdy but they do the job for now. I purchased a less expensive version, fully expecting to have to replace when the kids are older. Edit 2/13/2026. We've now had these just under 6 years. While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets. For the price, I’m very happy with the quality. I ordered 4. Shipping was pretty quick ( a lot quicker than the estimated delivery date). Packaging was excellent. Instructions were simple and clear…easy to understand ( unlike many items that come with poor English translations). The white gloves were a nice touch lol. Assembly was quick. First one took longer (learning curve). 4th one took 23 minutes from careful unpacking to putting the felt pads on the bottom of the legs. I lost 2 minutes due to trying to get the paper off the sticky pads . I like that there are small indentations in case you want to put the screw in type later. Overall.
