Once complete and set up its a decent enclosure. We got it for our chickens and attached the hen house to it, just left off a couple bars and zip tied the entrance right to it. The instructions absolutely suck and we wound up having to unbolt like 200+ connections to double up the gussets. Now, my wife and daughter got the base started and then asked for my help, I never questioned whether or not they started it correctly so perhaps they missed a step. The door is like waist high to my 6’ frame so it’s a definite crouch to get in there. I can stand in between the “roof trusses”. It has a good appearance and I wonder how it will hold up to the AZ monsoon winds. I used spiral drill in anchors to pin it down, no way the little stakes it came with will keep this in our yard in high winds. I am contemplating what to do in a couple years when the top is sun rotted away, there are only a few trusses to make the roofline and while it looks great, it does not take much to push it off level/plumb. To my amazement, this came in three relatively small, but heavy boxes and we were a few nuts and bolts short but they at least give you a spare parts bag, which had enough to complete the build. Be prepared that this comes in literally hundreds of individual pieces so it can look overwhelming, just follow it step by step and comes together rather nicely, be patient nd take your time. It really is an amazing engineering feat to get this big ole enclosure in these three little boxes. Overall, I am pretty happy with it. I wish the top had the same level of structure (aka bars) as the walls so the fabric top can be optional for predators and when it simply rots away but it would be easy enough to just get some netting and/or a shade later.. This 12 panel pen, was extremely easy to assemble, but it was a bit heavy and hard for me to move the box by myself. It’s all metal, has a door for easy access. I do wish they had written directions with this item. It is diagrams with the part numbers where they go. It took me a while to figure out how high to do the elastic ties so the base and top were taunt. But it does work GREAT esp for a larger rescue puppy! On a FedEx note: the puppy play pen w/the top and the bottom on it didn't come when it was suppose to...IDK what the protocol for FedEx is but the first one I ordered was damaged. The initial 'delay' notification just said it was delayed! The next day it said it was damaged!!! I really needed this item so I could to to work! If I hadn't looked to see when the new delivery date was I'd of not known to reorder it! Someone sure should of been notified!!! This is a very nice piece of furniture. It is a high-class dog pen, constructed of very sturdy black metal and beautiful wood. It’s the perfect size for our Australian Cattle Dog, who is medium-sized. The door works great and the latch locks it in place well so escape artists will have a hard time getting out. Putting it together was simple and quickly accomplished, and the length is indeed easily adjustable simply by using the holes and bolts during assembly.
