Great, sturdy mailbox. Looks fantastic. We now have by far the nicest mailbox on the street. It is pretty heavy (about 25lbs I believe) so make sure your post can handle it. Not a fan of the wood block for mounting. It will eventually rot. Would have liked to see a pvc product or similar. Exactly as expected. Strong, high quality mailbox that arrived quickly. Installation: Easy to attach to a mounting plate using the holes on the bottom of the exterior sides. It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). It looks great and was definitely worth the money to upgrade from the low-quality, dented mailbox that the prior owners had chosen. I got custom decals elsewhere to finish the look.. Marion. Just love my new mailbox! I made this purchase several months ago, & it finally was installed a few days ago. It was most carefully packaged, in sturdy boxes, & arrived in perfect condition. The color is perfect, & the mailbox is sturdy and well constructed. The metal post will last for years to come. The magnetic latch is adjustable for proper closure. The mailbox was an expensive purchase, but of great looks & quality, compared to any I saw locally. I did have the box installed by a handyman, & he told me it was not a difficult install, but he did not use the instructions included, as he thought they were very difficult to follow.
