This set of two queen-size pillows came rolled and vaccuum-packed, then sealed in plastic, then placed in a mailing envelope. As such, there’s a fish-like smell to the pillows. Make sure to follow the instructions of airing them out or better yet, drying them in the dryer (if you have a big-enough dryer). The “drying” can also fluff them up some more. Pillow protector appears to be very well made. UPDATE: Washed for 1st time and found stitching on one case completely undone leaving a 3 inch hole that needs to be repaired. Haven’t washed yet but it appears sturdy enough to resist the hot water washing that is recommended.
