My Maltese sleeps with me and even though he visits a groomer monthly I have found that his nails have picked the material in a couple of spots. My husband grew up sleeping on Mexican fur blankets #iykyk so getting him used to a proper fitted and top sheet was not easy. Hubby approves of this blanket he says its even softer than expected. I am obsessed with the beautiful Queen size electric blanket with dual controls — it is utterly and completely gorgeous! It’s a nice thickness (not ultra thin and cheap feeling), it is luxuriously SOFT on the faux fur side, and even the Sherpa side (which isn’t my personal favorite) is quite soft compared to some Sherpa’s. It is well-made with no loose threads or stitching, and I love the beautiful rich grey! I am sorry I can’t show photos right now with it literally on my bed, but it is heading toward Summer here in the Midwest, and so we literally just changed out our Winter bedding. The only reason I took “a part” of that 5th star off is price. If you shop around, you can find good brands with great deals at nearly half the price. That said, even without a sale, the price for this blanket isn’t horrible. I AM THRILLED with these lightweight blankets! I was concerned about the orange color but it is perfect for this bedroom. Using in our guest bedroom at the beach. Paired the quilt set with Wayfair's Lightweight Down Alternative Blanket with Satin Trim (orange) and two Allsyn 22.7" 2 Drawer Nightstands (Amber Walnut), the Boatwright Rattan Panel Headboard with Solid Wood Legs (not delivered yet) and also using Wayfair's Sleep 14" Steel Platform Bed Frame. In fact, I bought this same down alternative blanket in light blue for the master bedroom and two dark blue blankets for the bedroom that has two queen beds. I got the pink one. I thought the color was true to what was shown online. I was hoping for it to be a little bigger, but it is a King size. It is a stiff waffle, not super soft, I assume with washing and usage it will become softer. It is not warm. I got it as my summer comforter and it’s almost not enough, with my AC set as is. When it first came it had a bit of a plastic scent to it and felt damp? It is very warm and humid/rain when it arrived, so not sure if that was shipping. I washed it and it is good as new.. Mary.
