Only gave 4 stars because putting together the legs was a bit tricky as you have to maneuver yourself into the small area to lock the screws in. My husband is 65 and its a great height for him. I put together myself for the most part. It was the end that I need hubbys help with. Other than that it was a great purchase and we are very happy. This was a fun DIY project for me. It does come with what feels like a gazillion parts, and the instructions can be a little confusing at one point, so take your time. It took me about 3 hours to assemble everything by myself. Once it was finished, though, the end result was fantastic. I’d rate the sturdiness 910—it’s solid for everyday use—but the appearance is easily on par with dining tables that cost much more. It looks premium and has a great presence in the room. I’ve owned a brown square counter height table for about 8 years. Disliked it since day one and when I came across this farmhouse one, I was excited. The day it arrived, the delivery guys put everything together and I think it took them no more than an hour. I highly recommend having them put it together for you. Had no issues with parts and nothing was damaged. But most of all, it is a heavy table. Not completely solid wood but close to it and will last longer than my previous one that’s for sure. Looks fantastic, high quality material, easy assembly. Would’ve been even better if the top was one solid piece instead of two pieces.
