This bench exceeded my expectations. You never really know what you’re going to get based on photos. Yes they do help but wow I’m so impressed. It smells like real wood because it is. Super easy to assemble. The first set of screws take some time as they’re placed in a tighter spot but after that it was smooth sailing. I’m obsessed with this bench it’s so beautiful!! Also the hardware comes packaged so that you cut off the top and they’re all in little pockets which I felt was not intentional by the supplier but super helpful when putting together and keeping things organized. I took a chance on an Open Box item and honestly if the measurement weren't off I would love it. It is built very well. I love the velvet fabric and the style. The price I paid was also an excellent deal. It was in brand new condition. The box may have been opened, but the bench had never been out of it. But the measurements are off in both the height and the width. The length of the bench measurement however, was correct. It states the height of the Bench is 18 inches, it is slightly over 17. The depth of the bench it states is 16.5 inches, but it is actually 17.75 inches. So the bench now sits a little short and wide (sticks out from under the table more) for the dining bench I wanted. If this was just for the end of my bed or an entryway bench it would be perfect. It's very stable, incredibly well built and has a lovely comfy seat.
