I was looking for a light weight down and this fit the bill. It was for a guest bedroom. Everyone sleep’s different, some cold and some hot. Now that it is summer I’ve folded and placed at the base of the bed to be pulled up if the air conditioning gets too cold. This last winter it was reversed, main coverage and the lighter weight bedspread for extra warmth. The duvet feels somewhat heavy on its own but that is just me because I use duvets without the inserts because I am a very hot sleeper even in the winter time. The duvet without the insert looks just fine for me and I'm hoping it's not too heavy but since I live in the north I think it'll be just right. I also feel that since my bed is a queen I would have liked this duvet to be a little bit larger for more of an overhang, I should have ordered a king size just for the extra overhang..
