The linen cotton blend is incomparable to most other fabrics or fibers. They weave pure linen from fibers of the environmentally friendly flax plant with pure combed cotton. Unsurpassed for centuries for its natural comfort, durability and elegance, their finely woven linen and cotton fabric allows your skin to air while absorbing moisture which evaporates - it remains cool and calming. Over time the linen and cotton blend becomes softer and even more comfortable to touch.

These sheets feel like burlap. They say they will soften with washing, but I seriously doubt they will ever be as soft as 100% cotton sheets right out of the package. So softening with time is relative. If they started out like cotton, but got softer - that would be great. I gave them a 2nd star instead of a single star because they are definitely durable! Also, after washing twice the fitted sheet was still easy to put on the bed - whereas 100% cotton fitted sheets often shrink and then it's very difficult to get them on the mattress.. Michelle.
