I'm not one of those who think that a product has to be perfect to earn 5 stars. This lamp has some quirks but it is wonderful enough to earn my 5 stars. The Pros are: - The biggest pro in my opinion is that it has settings memory and can be flipped on by just running current to it. No need for the remote every time. This means that you can plug it to one of those switch controlled outlets and use that as your controller. This is a particularly big deal as many of these led lights with options require you to use their own switch to turn them on. - It's gorgeous - It's inconspicuous and low profile - It offers both warm light (yellowish glow) and cold light (white glow) color temperatures - It is dimmable - Does not look cheap or tacky Some of the Cons are: - It comes in only one color (black). I very terribly wanted white and I imagine that most people would too because their ceilings are white, but black is all they offer at this time apparently. - The light cannot be flush with your ceiling because of the hanging mechanism.
