Looks great! It was easy to assemble but hard to do the screws. The paint is a bit easy to mess up if your screwsscrewdriver slips in those tight areas Also, the doors are very slightly misaligned so they don’t close perfectly. I suspect that it can be fixed by raisinglowering the leveling thingies at the bottom but one had to flip the whole thing after it’s all done to do that and that didn’t seem like worth the effort. Before I even started building, I was impressed with the packaging. Everything was secure, clearly labeled, and they even included gloves to protect your hands while working with the metal. Much appreciated. You do not even need to hunt down a screwdriver, which is a nice touch. I checked the edges and felt a couple sharp spots on the inside, but after assembly, I could not find them anymore. They must be tucked away securely within the structure. They recommend two people for assembly, but I did it solo without a problem. I had to use my foot or lean something against the wall a couple of times, but overall it was very manageable alone. Now for the build. At first, I was skeptical. Some of the metal pieces seemed very thin, and I honestly did not think it would look good or feel sturdy. But it came together better than expected. Everything fit well except one piece that needed a little extra push, possibly due to a slightly thick metal coating. Once in place, it was fine. If you have larger hands, a few of the screws may be tricky to work with since they sit very close to the surrounding material, leaving little room to grip or turn comfortably. This is a real review. Took some time to build and had to fight with some screws to assemble the frame. Ended up making everything work without any DIY work but beware, QC is not top tier. The cabinet itself is nice. Doesn’t look cheap, it is sturdy. You can mount the drawer on the mid or down level. It has the « steel ball connectors » style unlike some other replica models. I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole.
