The biggest difference is in the perception of the space in the room. Even though this table is much bigger than the old solid wood table, the room looks bigger due to the openness of the glass. The living room/dining room area just looks so much better and bigger. This unit ships in 3 boxes. The glass top, the metal legs and the wood beam are all packaged separately, which makes for safer shipping for each piece. The table is beautiful but receiving it with a scratch on the glass and other defects I’ve noticed is bad. The soldering of the legs of the table is not consistent and it’s sloppy.
