I ordered 4 of the large book cases and 4 of the smaller ones same style to make my built in unit for my office. The shelves were very fast and easy to put together. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. Works for me, but I would have been really upset if I had paid full price. Majority of the pieces had some sort of damage that could have been solved with better packing. The backing is pretty flimsy and has really visible creases that I couldn't smooth out. I covered the back with wallpaper bc I thought it was cute. The laminate is pretty thin and seems to be easily damaged. Overall satisfied with it, but I would have preferred something a bit more elevated. Just hard to find a good balance of price and value.. These shelving units are beautiful. They far exceeded my expectations. The shelf units are constructed very well. You can tell there was a lot of thought put in to this product. It comes with all the hardware you need plus glue to add. Directions were easy to follow and everything lined up very well. This Didier Barrister Bookcase (4 door - HAVANA GOLD stain selected) works for what I needed it for. A couple of suggestions to the manufacturer: foot pads should be leveling type foot pads, I have tiled floors. Doors should close magnetically to ensure doors close ALL the WAY, and an inside (top-level) electrical on-off light would be a nice addition.
