I wanted a non-stick griddle that would be good for eggs or pancakes. I know these types of teflon non-stick pans are being fazed out for ceramic non-stick. Great pots and pans for the price never know what to buy anymore but this set I have purchased several times, they last several years with 4 hungry boys that torture them, dropping them using metal utensils cutting steaks in the pan with a sharp knife and the pans still keep on cooking….end of buying new set every 3-4 years not from the pans failure but from the kids torturing them and even then it’s just a skillet or 2 not the whole set… now we have lots of great pans…use them every day!!!. This pot is awesome ! It can cook a small to extra large batch of just about anything. In addition, I use when home canning so I get double use out of it in that manner. If I decide to keep something in in overnight, it easily fits into my frog because of the flat lid. It saves room in my cabinets too due to the flat lid. I own 2 of these now. I’ve used the first one for about 2 years and have had no problems. I do always use soft utensils when stirring so as not to scratch the inside of it. This is expensive for a single pot in my opinion but I was willing to pay the extra because of its size and versatility and the way in which it has held up over several years. One pan was way too big for me and my family so I gave it away as a Christmas present the second one was a 7 inch frypan and it is too perfect. I love it. I cooking it every day. I’ve had it some months now had no problems with it. I don’t put my fry pans in the dishwasher but it just takes a little swipe of some soapy water and its ready for the next job.
