These stools are nicer in person. I was hesitant about the limed grey oak. In the picture, the limed stools look very distressed and antiqued but they are just right. They are light enough to move without effort but made well enough to hold up to everyday use. I do hope the seats hold up for a long time. They look great with my newly updated kitchen. They are the perfect "counter height". I am very happy with my purchase so far. They were much more than I wanted to pay for counter stools and I do hope they will last and be worth the price.. While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets.
