For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! Replaced my 10year old hand me down stools with this set. It was on clearance and for the price I couldn’t resist. Took about an hour to put together, it was tight under the chair. Only downfall it did not come with the little screw in feet like it said in the instructions. I put little felt pads anyway, so I wasn’t worried. Faux leather feels good.
