Overall a good value to seat 8. Even though I bought the 10 person version, it would be VERY tight to fit 10 adults at the table comfortably. MDF top seems solid but the "wood veneer" seems like its just contact paper. We bought a clear cover immediately as I don't see that type of simulated wood holding up long term. Metal frame construction as well as metal chair legs is excellent and definitely feels solid and is the best part about this set. Given the costs difference between this and others, its definitely a trade off of quality vs price. We were using a temporary folding table so this is a thousand times better, but if you want something that will take a beating, may want to look at another set. Overall I am happy!. Derek. I would give a 10 if I could. I have a bad back and so finding a chair that is comfortable for both short and long periods of time is crucial. This chair is amazing! It hugs just right at the bottom of the shoulder blades and but is designed with a slight flair so as you recline a bit it to adjusts to hold your back without you feeling stiff or in a position that isn’t real. We actually like that they provide the ability to have dinner and then if we choose continue at the table with conversation or even games for long periods of time thereafter.
