Great solid duvet cover with shams. Purchased for teen boy. Did not smell any worse than a set of super expensive organic bamboo sheets we received the same day. They are in fact blue, just a very dark blue/grey but mostly blue (headboard of bed is dark grey for comparison). It has withstood two animals (cat and big dog) My dog digs at it and frayed the patterning a little bit, but their pet hair doesn't show too much, and it vacuums up pretty easily. I purchased a cal king reversible down alternative comforter for an insert to my duvet cover for a guest bed. I wanted it to be white and not too heavy.
