We've had these for about 4 years now. They still look brand new. These are without question one of my favorite pieces in our space. The first thing that stands out is obviously the color. The orange adds such a fun, modern pop without feeling overwhelming, and the natural wood tones help balance it out so it still feels warm and inviting. They instantly made my kitchen/counter area feel more styled and intentional. I was surprised by how comfortable they are. The seat has a nice shape to it, and the footrest makes them comfortable enough to sit in for longer periods - I regularly work from home sitting in one of these. The size works really well for a standard counter-height island. I always worry about stools looking either too bulky or too small, but these have a clean profile that keeps the area feeling open. Assembly was straightforward, and once put together they feel sturdy and stable. They’re lightweight enough to move around easily, but not flimsy. A couple small things to note: The orange color is definitely a statement, so make sure you’re ready for a bold accent piece Because of the lighter/natural finish, I’d probably recommend wiping spills fairly quickly to keep them looking their best Overall, these stools are a great mix of style and function. I'll preface this by saying "I fully expect these to be trashed within a few years, as I have a busy kitchen and a three year old". That being said, the faux leather has held up well to all sorts of spills, stains, bumps, etc. They don't feel very sturdy but they do the job for now. I purchased a less expensive version, fully expecting to have to replace when the kids are older. Edit 2/13/2026. We've now had these just under 6 years. While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets. A chair, indeed, is a distinctly human object, molded to serve its purpose. It follows the contours of the body, whether for dining or working at a table. It offers a resting position, suspended between wakefulness and slumber, a place to pause or enjoy the company of others. With Ta, we aim to provide an elegantly simple response to the need for both ergonomics and aesthetics.Ta’s design draws inspiration from the style of the 1950s but infuses it with a contemporary touch—honest and democratic design, made possible through an advanced yet relatively straightforward construction technique. It offers a wide array of solutions, with its strength lying in its flexibility. Three solid, flowing, and sinuous shells can be paired with five curved metal tubular bases featuring wooden elements, each characterized by essential design. The color palette reflects contemporary preferences, and the option to add seat pads to the shells allows for numerous customized combinations.
