The color is perfect, although the wood grain is painted on rather than real wood and some color rubbed off when I removed a scuff that was on the front of a drawer when I unboxed it. The assembly was challenging for this dresser. I also bought the 7 drawer dresser to match and it was much easier to assemble than this one.
