Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are no pre-drilled screw holes to attach the seat to the frame so I had to get the drill out (instructions said to manually screw in (not possible)).. I really liked these barstools. Husband liked the ones he picked out best and he won, so I returned these. The swivel was smooth and the back rest supportive. I (female in my 50s) put them together on my own and it was pretty easy. They looked great and felt solid. They may be a little small for larger people, like over 300 lbs.
