Beautiful, high-quality, really great assembly instructions, like, REALLY good instructions, very sturdy. This piece is HEAVY, you definitely need to assemble it where its going to live because moving it around isnt feasible. I got this to go in my home office, but I like it so much Im taking it to my retail boutique to use as an accessory display (belts, hats, bags, etc...) I love that the top isnt glass, so I can fold items and display them on top of the piece without worrying about them blocking light to the shelves below. The lighting is great, I only wish the cord was black so that I could hide it better along the display. Love the diffuser on the light, provides a clean glow instead of being able to see all of the little individual lights on the strip. This is packaged great, all off the glass (and it is mainly glass) is wrapped and protected perfectly. My poor delivery guy though....man these boxes were heavy. Because this piece is glass all the way around is why I am relocating it to my shop, seeing the wall through it in my office isnt very fun with all of my cords crossing behind it. This sideboard is very nice. It goes great with my black dining table. I do have to say that the instructions aren’t great and for a relatively simple box it takes a long time to assemble (about two hours). But it is solid once assembled and looks quite elegant with the glass and light. My only other complaint beyond the instructions is that the light is powered via a usb connection but it doesn’t come with the wall plug to attach the usb cord to. Nice peice, probably overpaid considering the problemS we had assembling . The guide was not easy to use , told us to use certain screws which were obviously wrong the bar that is seen across the front has a dent. And my husband has to drill holes for the outside doors on both sides so we can finish it. There are NO HOLES for the hinges to go on. For the price it is worth it. The assembly was a little difficult with getting the screws to go for the second and third shelf, while trying to hold the pieces in place to line up the holes. The holes are very tight fitting, so a couple of screws almost didn't go in. I was on the floor using my all my limbs to do get this thing together. I had a ratchet allen wrench to do this assembly, if not, it wouldn't have worked out. I can understand why some people gave up. Forget trying to use the allen wrench that comes with it. It's very sturdy once together. There were two tiny chips off of the paint on one piece, but I can fix that. Overall, it works perfectly for displaying my pottery, so I like it.. Lucia.
