Adjustable Accent Storage Cabinet

Exactly what I wanted for a wall that separates a kitchen from a living area. Additionally, I needed to access the electrical outlets below so I ordered four accent cabinets and I couldn't be happier with the fit. Two inches on either end, these four units replaced a massive display cabinet and a tall display case and provided a lot more room for storage. Very easy to put together, each cabinet came with extra screws, fittings etc. that I can actually put together a fifth unit if I needed it. Adjustable shelves inside allow for lots of different sized items to store. Love the clean lines and it has a nice MCM look to it and blends nicely with a few of my antique pieces. I selected the color "White Alder" and really like the look. These four pieces make it very easy for me to pull out when I need to access the electrical outlets behind and still have the look of being one solid piece. For pre-fab, ready to assemble, furniture, these cabinets are affordable and have a great look to them. My only issue is that the doors don't always hang cleanly across. I've adjusted them as instructed, in the easy to read directions, but not all doors hang evenly, however, this is something I can live with. I purchased two of these cabinets and was pleasantly surprised by how easy they were to assemble. I put both together myself without any issues, and the instructions were straightforward. Once assembled, they looked great and fit perfectly in my space. The drawers and doors open and close smoothly, and everything functions exactly as it should. The quality is good—not necessarily high-end—but for the price I paid, I think they offer excellent value. It took me a long time to find a medium height cabinet for an alcove in my foyer.Im pretty happy with this. I was nervous with all the reviews that it was hard to put together and that the doors dont close. It took less than 2 hours and if your doors dont close its likely you installed them upside down (as we did the first time). My only minor complaint is the color is more yellow-toned than depicted. Great piece. Assembly took about 75 dedicated minutes. Some of the screw holes in the particle board threatened to strip, so I feel like I need to be extra careful in moving it (it's fairly heavy, so best to lift it with straps from the bottom, rather than find holds near the top of the unit). Got the brown color—it’s a bit darker in person, more like walnut, but I still like it. Feels sturdy and well made. Assembly took a few hours, mainly because I had to adjust the hinges to fix a large gap between the doors. The instructions explain how to adjust them, but not when it’s needed. We purchased three oak cabinets to make a buffet. All came in perfect shape due to excellent packaging. Instructions are easy to follow pictures, but we found that putting hinges on panels 2 and 3, right from the start made it easier to put doors on at the end, since it’s hard to screw on when everything is put together. The trick at the end is to make sure the hinges are in closed position then place door holes over hinge, as if the door was completely closed. Then slowly open the door and the hinge will be in correct position to screw the remaining screws on door backside. Also double check that panel 5 is in correct position with locking mechanism near panel 4, otherwise you will have the holes of the mechanism on the top side of the shelf when finished and will have to use oak stickers to cover up the silver hardware. I was trying to find something for the office and came across this item. I do think this is a nice unit,not sure if it's actually worth the price I paid. It was packaged well for delivery, but I did notice a couple of scratches that probably happened at the company. It wasn't too noticeable and that side actually faces my wall.
