Wine Racks

I'm a handyman and @ [$] I thought I could build this rack for less. Then I started considering my time and aggravation, etc., so I decided to buy this unit instead. What a good decision! [if I do say so, myself]. To all those other do-it-yourselfers out there: you can't build this as well for the same money. Screw holes are pre-drilled; plank ends are routed; the wood material is appropriate for the expected load.I do have a couple of construction quibbles. 1] There are wood cleats at the diagonal ends that are just stapled in place. That probably is sufficient because they're internally supported by the diagonal shelves, but I screwed 'em in anyway. 2] The top, bottom & middle horizontal planks are each pre-drilled for 3 screws but only 2 are provided. I also built a recessed pedestal of 1"x3" fir to keep the bottles off the floor but it's not necessary [see pic].The instructions are clear, assembly is simple and the pieces fit together easily. The wood is a stark natural white and I stained mine with MinWax Wood Finish Golden Oak 210B to give it a richer look but not too dark [see pics showing before/after and final built].I installed my bin in a closet with other wine bins and storage shelves but I think the final product looks good enough to be a piece of furniture you can live with. Securing the unit to the wall is a must and you might consider additional L-brackets near the base and installing the top ones [provided] inside the box [not above the box as instructed] just to hide them.I'm very happy with the increased storage capacity this rack gives me and the style of old world, time-tested diamond bins."..."  Read more

I am extremely pleased with this wine console. I'm not a fan of distressed finishes, but I took a chance on this because I liked the style, dimensions, marble top, etc. The finish is just slightly distressed, which adds character, but doesn't look at all like an old, beat up piece of furniture. I particularly like the contrast of the umber finish, dark posts, and black granite top. Very stylish and versatile. I also am very pleased with the amount of wine I can store. It's designed to hold 18 bottles, 6 on each of the three racks. I thought I'd be able to stack an extra row of bottles on the top rack, but much to my surprise, I was able to stack an extra 5 bottles on top of each row, so it will hold 33 bottles with room to hang 8" tall glasses from the stemware rack. If you want to hang taller glasses, you can still store 28 bottles...11 on each of the bottom two racks and 6 on the top rack. That was an added bonus I hadn't expected!"..."  Read more

I really like this product it has nice clean lines and I really like the wicker on it. I mounted mine on the wall and just love it where I mounted it. The only thing I wish you had was a wall mount version of this same rack like without the legs on the bottom, but the exact same rack. I do really like this wine rack though."..."  Read more

I am using this beautiful wine cabinet in a small alcove area in our living room. It adds interest, color and design to the area. It is perfect and has quite a lot of storage space for bottles and for wine glasses. The bottom drawer is great for wine accessories, napkins, plates etc. The cabinet is very true to color on the internet site. It is sturdy and well built. You need two people and a dolly to get it from the truck to your home. It is not manageable for one person. The ONLY THING I can mention as a negative is that the wine rack holder for the inside of the cabinet will not hold bottles that are 12 inches tall as the door will not close. However, there is such sufficient storage inside, we did not dwell on this issue. We removed the rack and use it in the kitchen as an extra rack there."..."  Read more
