Wine Racks

Given the description of this wine rack, the finish was a little different than I expected it to be. It was described as metal, which the structure is, but everything is covered with a plastic cover or coating, which was fine for the utility purposes for which I bought this unit. If you are looking for a wine rack to put away in a back room or basement, this is a great choice. We saw this rack system at a restaurant in Western Maryland. The racks covered the walls and were used as both wine storage and art. The effect was stunning. Not only does the rack look great on the wall, but it does not take up floor space so it is perfect for tight spaces. A basic wine rack that performs well meant to be part of a cellar as it really doesn't add much in the way of design on its own. If secured to a wall properly, it is much sturdier than it looks. Only complaint is assembly. While not difficult, it does require a bit of a commitment to assemble: the unit needs to be nailed together and there are no pre-drilled pilot holes. We built our own wine cupboard and needed wall type brackets to display the wine. These worked so well that I will order another set to mount beside them. Easy to install and look great!"
