It took longer to unpack this TV stand than it did to put it together. Very easy assembly. My 3 yr old daughter helped me put it together. The TV stand is a beautiful dark wood. We have a 55" LG LCD TV on it and it fits great. The open middle is perfect for our cable box, stereo, etc. There is lots of space in the back behind the shelves for all of the cables. We searched extensively for the right TV stand and are very happy with this one. The price is very reasonable as well. We were looking for a tall TV stand so that we could watch from our breakfast room and kitchen. The TV is in our family room. We sit at our breakfast table and watch TV over the couch. I bought this stand to fit in the middle of a very nice modern style entertainment center that I had bought in 1999. My wood entertainment center is medium golden brown with a dark grain throughout. The company that made my center is no longer in business, so I couldn't get an exact wood match on a new tv stand. My center has two tall cabinets with dark glass doors. I set each cabinet on each side of this stand and enclosed it with the two wood shelves that were part of the original center; one shelf connecting the tall cabinets on their tops and the other directly on top of this tv stand under my new tv and up tight to the two cabinets. The stand fits perfectly, and appears like it was actually built into my old center. The complete center looks great; the black stand pulls out the dark wood grain of the center and the dark glass on the stand is a match to cabinet glass as well. I definitely recommend this stand as it is well made and was in excellent condition upon arrival to us in Tennessee. Very, very happy indeed!"..."  Read more

My TV was in the box for 9 months because I wanted a TV stand with a fireplace until my brother convinced me to think practical. I looked on a few websites and found this one. It fit my needs perfectly and the price was right. Easy to assemble by my brother and looks great with my 60 inch TV. There was plenty of room to decorate around the TV without looking crowded. I really like this better than the Fireplace Units. What was I thinking This one made my TV look like a million bucks. Unless you look closely, I do not see the distressed which worked out great. I needed a tall tv stand and the vast majority are just too low. I also tend to worry about the quality of furniture that is assembled at home. This one was the perfect height for my tv and peripherals and the quality matched its price. It looks great and is a sturdy unit. It took a couple hours to put together only because I did it by myself and didn't have the ideal work space. By no means was it difficult to put together. Aligning the doors was a little tricky though. The one thing I don't like are the holes in the cardboard in the back of the unit for the wires to pass through. The openings are narrow and centered in the compartments. Instead, there should be two or three holes for each compartment to make it easier to pass the wires through. On the other hand, you don't have to use the cardboard in the back of the tv stand at all. I personally didn't like the way it looked without it though."..."  Read more
