i really like the sunrise simulation aspect of the clock. the alarm is a very annoying sound, so i continue to use the iPhone alarm is have which is much more pleasant. the light gradually illuminates and wakes me up much more pleasantly than a traditional alarm. very helpful when reading at night with the sunset feature so i don't have to worry about turning out the light by getting out of bed.

I like using this in the winter months. Definitely makes opening the eyes easier when I wake up in the simulated sunrise mode before the real sunrise. The menu-system for setting the time and alarm times is annoyingly obtuse. I unplug this clock when spring arrives because it is an innacurate clock - it runs fast by about 2 to 3 minutes per month. It includes power adapters for Europe - maybe the clock runs acurately when running on another voltage standard??

Since purchasing my Sunrise System dawn simulator/alarm clock/light box I have been able to wake up gently, early, and comfortably. The system is easy to program (just read the manual), it wakes me up effectively (I dont even need the alarm function), and I feel less frazzled when I wake up. I also just sit and read in the prescence of the light for 15-30 mins each morning and I feel rejuvenated. I have recommended the system to all of my friends.

I bought this light because I was having a hard time getting up in the morning now that it doesn't get light until around 7am here (Seattle, WA area). I need to work out in the mornings and I can get up at 4:30am during the summer because it's light then. Now we're in "the dark times" here and all I want to do at 4:30am is stay in bed. This light really does brighten the room, much to my husband's dismay. But it helps me wake up sooner and, after all, it is all about me! The light is not like sunlight, but that's OK. I just need light coming on gradually until it's super bright. I keep the light about 2 1/2 - 3 feet away from me on my night stand. It doesn't heat up and it's not so bright that I can't grab it and shut it off manually, if needed. I haven't figured out how to find that "sweet spot" in the timing for exactly when I want to actually get up vs when I want the light at it's maximum. I think the downside of this light so far is that the sunrise periods are 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes and you can't vary it in between. You're stuck with the preset periods. I also wish you didn't have to go through every single setting each time you want to change the waking time on a particular day. Seems for the price they could have made setting the various features a little more sophisticated. If the settings were a little more advanced I would give this product a full 5 stars.

No issues with proper function, but there must be a model out there with a more natural light source. White LEDs emit what looks like a car headlamp, not sunlight.

I've used this lamp for 6 months and really don't care for it. It is my 3 sunrise alarm clock and by far the least satisfactory. The controls are difficult to use. It is difficult to set if you need to change your wakeup time for one day because you have to scroll through an entire week and multiple other settings. It is also difficult to read the settings because the light is so bright that you can't see them. The alarm is loud and obnoxious with no volume setting. Save your money and buy a competitor.

I wake up "gently" each morning, full of energy ready for the day! I have looked for a product like this for years. It took a few days to learn how to use it to my best advantage. Thank you for marketing the Natural Dawn Simulator.

I have had a easier time waking up and love not hearing my old alarm clock tone every morning.The buttons on the clock might be easier to use when the light is on if they were on top instead of the front.If it played music it would really be cool. I might get a 2nd one to really light up the whole room!

This alarm clock has made my life so much easier. I have to wake up at different times throughout the week and so my early morning routines can be really tough. Before I got this alarm clock, I would dread the early wake-up so much that I couldn't sleep well the night before but now it's so much more pleasant. Having this nice start to the day has made all the difference. Make sure to read the manual (it's not long) before using it for the first time because it can be a little tricky at first. I looked through many different sunrise alarm clocks on the internet before buying this one. It seemed to be the best by far and it certainly hasn't let me down. Amazing!!!
