South Shore Step One Full/Queen Platform Bedroom Collection - Step One Platform Bedroom Series

This collection is amazing for the price! It's not made of solid wood, but absolutely sturdy and heavy. Was not hard to assemble. Perfect for my new apartment.

I'm an 18 year old female from California that recently moved here in Texas so I was really looking for a new beautiful bedroom set. I bought the platform, headboard, and nightstand. It took me about around 8 hours to build everything because I did it all by myself even though it says for each manual that you need about 2 people to build it. The step by step instructions will walk you through the whole thing in ease. As my very own opinion, if your bedroom is carpet and not wood floor, I suggest that you start building the platform on the side in which you will prefer to place it at. In the picture (as you can see), it's a wooden floor with a rug under the platform so it'll be easy to move but it's very hard to move on carpet. Moving and placing it was the only difficult part that I encountered. Alignment and screwing the platform was a bit frustrating because some screws didn't really line up well so you really have to be quite patient with this one. Couple small scratches on the bed platform but I covered it with a black marker or paint if you have them. Overall, it's a great set! (P.S. The mattress on the photo is a FULL SIZE which is the same as mine so if you have a Queen, it will not look like that.)

Bed comes in pieces and is extremely time consuming to put together- took over 3 hours ! However when put together looks amazing!

Absolutely beautiful set...definetly need a little help putting it together

The set is basic and simple in design, (that's good for me) but when putting it together I noticed that the bed platforms holes are not easy to line up. One board on my platform is only on with one screw. Its impossible to see if you are properly lined up. I think that they should have made the boards a little wider to increase the chance of actually getting the screws in. Other than that the set is excellent. The dressers are sturdy, and when put together look exactly like they do in the pictures. All in all its pretty good for my first personal set. Oh and I almost forgot, the bed drawers are perfect for putting things you don't want say maybe your kids to see. Also I got the bed platform, both dressers, and one nightstand for around $650. I think that tells everything you need to know to purchase this set.

The picture I saw on-line was what I expected to get. It turns out that the queen size platform had a full size matress on it. Not showing the queen size mattress on the platform didnt give the correct look. I have no overlap of the platform as it shows on picture. It was upsetting.

just make sure you have a power drill handy in order to avoid the hand cramp that I had for 2 days putting together the entire bedroom set with a normal screwdriver. Very well designed furniture and, being that I used to put these together part time, I was pleased to see the measures that the company takes to pack the furniture in such a way that there is very minimal, if any, damage to the product. My wife and I are very happy with all the pieces that we purchased. )

we ordered this bed for our daughter, so we wanted something nice but not too nice (a 13 year old is bound to break something)... it is a long process to put together but not difficult. It is made of covered particle board, so go easy on over screwing. Looks just like the picture true to color, semi sturdy, easy to put the bed on. My only complaint is one piece was cracked inside and another had a giant crack across the top of it, looks like it was thrown around a little before we got it. For the price, its a chic bed that youre bound to love!

came a day later then estimated, Im sure the holiday had something to do with that tho. One big heavy box, from the looks of the box and condition of the pieces it probably was not treated gently on the trip to our house...

It would be 5 stars if the directions were easy to follow. Took quite some time to put together, but once it was complete we loved it. We have been using the set now for about a month. We love it!!! Only downfall is the directions to put it together!!

I am very happy with my purchase for the apartment. It's a basic bedroom set. The bed also has two drawers built-in, which is hard to tell from the website. I used to store unused pillow and blanket, quite handy. The height is slightly lower than what I had expected. But for the price, I think it's quite a good buy. The complete assembling of the bed, nightstand and dresser took us two adults half a day with a $10 tool kit from [...]. You will need a few screwdrivers and a hammer for the job. A tip: you don't really need to spend >$100 for the mirror. Grab one from the home goods store if you live close by. You end up paying half of the price. After all, black is an easy color to accessorize. Combined with the basic design of this set, you get a lot of flexibility and freedom.
