Sauder Arbor Gate Lateral File - 404730

It is a nice piece and has ample storage for files, etc. We ordered the desk and hutch to match as well. Very good quality for MDF wood and matches our dark stain in our home very well. Only downside is it is very heavy and requires two people to assemble. All three pieces took us a total of 9 hours. We are very happy with it as a great alternative to real wood furniture.

Beautiful but will take a good amount of time to assemble. Some knicks but easily covered up with a woodtone touch up pencil. Much darker than picture but since I already had the desk I knew that. If using letter files you must have each side of the drawer full or the rods the files hang on will move (only drawback to this item that I could see). The rods are not stationary but slide around easily when not full. Overall I am very satisified with this item.

I bought this product to organize my Mother's personal papers at my home. I was fully aware that it had to be assembled, and my husband loves a challange. He had no problem putting it together, however some of the parts were missing. Specifically, metal brackets that hold the drawers together. Luckily, he is used dealing with automobile parts and making due with what you have. He had to modify the brackets that were sent, add some holes, screws etc. to make it work. Also, a HUGE chuck of the top corner piece was broken off. We will have to use wood glue to fix that. It is a shame that not all the parts were sent with the cabinet, and now we have additional expenses to make this thing work.

It took me 5 hours to assemble, but I followed the directions exactly and had no problems. [...] The color is darker than it appears in the pic, but again, before I ordered, I called Sauder and they sent me a color sample. Even though the cabinet took a long time to put together, it looks beautiful and is very sturdy. Each part fit perfectly. The directions are clear and lots of pictures are provided to help with the assembly. I'm sure my husband could have put the cabinet together much faster, but it was actually fun for me to assemble. I would recommoned a furniture marking pen to touch up some of the mitered corners, but even the finest furniture is touched up before it is delivered.
