This is not your ordinary laundry hamper. It is made from real bamboo and is such a rich brown color. My husband just loves it. It is very well made, the inner cloth liner fits snugly over thr edge and the band of bamboo holds it on so nicely. You dont even see the cloth liner when the lid is closed. I really like the lid lifting up and it stays up. It is not flimsy at all. It was very easy to put together. I would say 5 minutes is all it took. I really like the Brabentia laundry hamper in the black color. It replaced an old white plastic basket type hamper like you might have used in college or at a public laundromat. The Brabantia handles a larger load even though it has a small footprint due to the vertical design. It fits perfectly in my small laundry room. The laundry is hidden inside which is what I wanted compared to the previous open basket. It's more expensive than some hampers, but it looks very stylish and modern. So, it's worth the higher price.
