Rachael Ray Flatware 20-Piece Little Hoot Set

I got these as a gift for my wife. She loves owls so these were perfect for her. She really loves them. They were packaged well, and arrived in good condition. They are lovely.

I received this Racheal Ray Silver Set and like it strong material use to make this set however, this set is missing the average size soup spoon and that's what take away from this set.

I wish I could give this product 0 stars. I purchased this set as a gift for my owl and bird loving Mother-in-law for Christmas. I knew shed fall in love with this design. At my time of purchase, there was only one review here, and it was a very biased review complaining about the Cutesy design and made very little mention of the quality of the silverware so it was difficult to go off that description(person has since changed her review. I sure wish shed posted THAT in the first place...) I decided to take a chance. Wish I hadnt. When my order initially came, the first thing I noticed was that one of the forks in the front of the box had very jagged prongs. I didnt bother looking at the rest of them I requested an exchange. I received the second set, and checked the front set of forks then wrapped it up. Christmas day, Mother-in-law opened them up and as I expected she loved them upon first sight. She took them out right away yesterday and we went through each utensil. Found yet another fork with jagged prongs. In addition to that, the stamping of the owl was terrible and some of the items have a nice deep even stamp, while others look horrible. You can hardly tell theres an owl on some of them. WHERE IS THE QUALITY CONTROL! They feel nice in your hand, but thats about the only good thing about them. My Mother-in-law washed them up first thing by hand, and immediately there are water spots EVERYWHERE. Im beyond disappointed with this set, and if I had paid the full price that is asked for these Id be beyond furious. I will never be buying anything Rachael Ray again, simple as that. This set told me all I need to know about the care and quality control steps taken to ensure a quality product. Especially an item as overpriced as this is!! If this wasnt a Christmas gift Id be flat out returning them. And Im still contemplating asking my Mother-in-law if I can do so and purchase her a different set. Cheap China junk. Shame on you Rachael Ray.
