The housing and frame are constructed from die-formed corrosion resistant galvanized steel. The lamp housing compartment can be adjusted to fit ceiling thicknesses from in. to 1 in. The socket position can be adjusted to accommodate ceiling pitches from 2/12 to 7/12 pitch. It features a universal J-box with snap-out sides. Wiring is made easy with the included wiring quick-connects that allow simple installation of 12-20 AWG wire without using separate wire nuts - simply strip supply wires and push in. Hanger bars include t-bar mounting clamps for use in suspended t-grid ceilings. Socket mounts to trim for optimum performance and consistent lamp position and can use a variety incandescent, CFL and LED lamps. Housing is suitable for residential or light commercial applications. For installation in insulated ceilings and non-insulated ceilings with airtight code compliant construction. The housing can be used with a variety of trims and finishes to create different lighting effects or to match any decor. The trims use friction springs to attach to the housing to provide a flush fit against the ceiling.
