Powell Mission Oak Rectangular End Table - 356

purchased 2 units... 1 - great , 1 - all dowels loose fitting ... will have to be taken apart and glued !!!!! PS: don't tell me how much to write......

I received it in pieces....had to call my carpenter son to put it together. After he found the interlock pieces bent and bending, he took it home to put it together and glue it tight or it would have collapsed with the first pressure put on it. I was not please with that. But, now that it is glued and put together...it is a beautiful table.

I love the table itself although in the instructions it didn't mention any wood glue and didn't come with any (as many furniture pieces that you put together yourself do) so I started putting it together thankfully having put together pieces before I knew it wouldn't hold together without it. If you haven't put furniture together before build it once without glue to see which pieces go first and how they fit then put it together again with the glue otherwise it won't stay together. Once together it is a very nice piece and worth it.

The only problem was the directions, a little hard to understand.

This piece of furniture was very difficult to assemble. After assembly the table was not real solid. The cams were not easy to lock.

My only complaint is that I still don't have the missing piece I need despite multiple attempts to get it. It is the front handle so very obvious that it is missing.

Could be a great table, but nearly ruined by complicated assembly requirement, horrible instructions & unclear drawings. This could lead to installing some parts backward, then having to disassemble and reassemble correctly - a real jigsaw puzzle that's not real sturdy. Much of this could be preassembled before delivery in the same size box. You dropped the ball on this one.

Service Review

CSN apparently doesn't connect realistically with the shippers: two different companys claim they never got my delivery instructions (I'm off work 2 weekdays) or even phone number. Your policy tells me to inspect the product upon delivery before signing a release, when in fact a driver comes while I'm at work & either leaves a note starting a game of tag, or just leaves the boxes on the porch. They are NOT going to stand around while someone checks out the contents and there is no acceptance form with UPS. Why ask for my delivery & contact information if they're not going to be used? I like doing business with CSN otherwise, but this part makes me think twice.
